The International Institute for Sign Languages and Deaf Studies (iSLanDS) at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston, UK, is recruiting a full-time Senior Research Fellow, starting in June/July or asap thereafter.
 
Within our international, culturally diverse, mixed Deaf-hearing Institute, this post aims at growing a substantial new research area. The successful candidate will develop a programme of individual and collaborative research relevant to both Applied Sign Linguistics and Deaf Community Leadership/Development.
The post involves contributing to the strategic development and operational management of the Institute, supervision of research degree students, and a minor teaching component.

The post requires experience of conducting research at post-doctoral level in the areas of Applied Sign Linguistics and /or Deaf Community Leadership/Development, along with a PhD in a relevant discipline. The initial appointment is for 3 years.
 
We welcome both UK/EU and international applicants.

Salary: Grade I – £39,107-45,336.
