Description
Based in the Centre for Deaf Studies within the School of Applied Community and Health Studies, you will provide training in interpreting for BSL/English relay interpreters as part of the pan-European REACH112 project which is funded by the EC.

The post will involve the development of data collection procedures and the management of the BSL/English interpreters involved in service delivery to the Deaf community. The service is due to begin in May 2011.

You will join a collaborative research team working with technology partners and Deaf agencies. You will be expected to participate in collaborative project meetings and to disseminate the results of the project. You will be highly proficient in British Sign Language skills.

The post is available until 30 June 2012, and we would like the successful candidate to start as soon as possible. If successful, you may be appointed either on a fixed term or a permanent contract depending on the extent of your previous relevant research experience.
