The PhD would be by research (dissertation) with little or no required course work, though a candidate may choose to or need to complete one or two preparatory units, e.g., research methods, depending to their background and qualifications.
Because of the project is examining corpus data from both Auslan and BSL (A/Prof Trevor Johnston is the Chief Investigator and Prof Bencie Woll is a Partner Investigator) we hope that there will be an opportunity for the candidate to spend several months sometime during their candidacy at DCAL, London (see http://www.dcal.ucl.ac.uk/), e.g., as a visiting student.
