Research Assistant Professor

Applicants should have a PhD degree in linguistics, with expertise in sign linguistics or language acquisition by deaf children. The appointee will serve both the Department and the Centre for Sign Linguistics and Deaf
Studies. Duties include (a) leading research projects conducted by the Centre; and (b) teaching and training postgraduate and undergraduate students in sign linguistics and language acquisition by deaf children.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one to two years commencing November 2010, renewable subject to mutual agreement.

Salary will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
