The CLS 57 Committee would like to announce that the 57th Meeting of the Chicago Linguistic Society will be held from May 6 to May 8, 2021. We are accepting abstracts from now until January 8 of next year. Please see the full CFP on our website or on EasyChair. While we welcome submissions from any sub-field of linguistics and from any allied field, we especially welcome submissions relating to our proposed special sessions:

• Language and Race
• Language Documentation and Revitalization
• Sociosyntax
• South Asian Languages
• Sign Languages
• Grammaticalization
• Phi-Features

Our invited speakers for this year are:

• Andrea Berez-Kroeker (she/her)
• Natalia Bermúdez (she/her/ella/la)
• Kirby Conrod (they/them)
• Vadim Kimmelman (he/him)
• Sandhya Sundaresan (she/her)
• Kelly E. Wright (she/her)
Due to the COVID-19 situation, the venue for CLS 57 is still unclear – while ideally the conference would take place on campus, we are also planning for a contingency in which it must take place online. Please check back on our website for further updates on this.

Best,
Saulé Tuganbaeva,
CLS 57
