Meeting Description:

The Center of Linguistics of the University of Porto (CLUP) and the Center for Research and Innovation in Education (InEd) of the School of Education (ESE) of the Polytechnic of Porto are pleased to announce the joint organization of the II Meeting on Morphosyntax of Portuguese Sign Language and other Sign Languages, to be held in Porto, on February 8 – 9, 2018, at FLUP and at ESE.

The meeting will be open to discussion of any sign language in the areas of morphosyntax and syntax, although other linguistic issues may be addressed.
The guest of this event will be Prof. Josep Quer (ICREA, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona), linguist with a vast curriculum on oral and sign languages, one of the specialists in Catalan Sign Language and co-editor of the journal Sign Language and Linguistics.
The languages of the meeting will be English, Portuguese and LGP. It is our intention to have translators-interpreters from English and Portuguese to LGP and vice-versa.

2nd Call for Papers:

Extended deadline for abstract submission of talks and posters (2 A4 pages with references, with attachments that can contain videos): October 19, 2017
Acceptance information: December 15, 2017
Divulgation of the program: January 6, 2018.
